Wondering why veganism is a move towards a radically inclusive social justice practice that includes animals?
There is a strange idea amongst non-vegans that vegans care too much for animals, and don’t care about human beings. Though I’m sure there are sad exceptions, I believe you’d be hard pressed to find many people who care about animals say they don’t care about eliminating racism, sexism, homophobia, islamaphobia, anti-semitism, classism, etc.
Extending your compassion towards animals does not mean you don’t have compassion towards humans. There is nothing to be afraid of here.
